Updated: Four (Two Children and Two Men) Dead in Tragic Homicide–Suicide on Huss Street; Tiffin Community Reeling After Devastating Loss

Tiffin, Ohio — A heartbreaking series of events unfolded Wednesday evening in Tiffin, leaving four people dead and another woman hospitalized after what authorities are investigating as a homicide–suicide.

According to a statement released by Tiffin Police Chief David Pauly, officers were dispatched at approximately 6:24 p.m. on November 19, 2025, to the 100 block of Huss Street following multiple reports of gunshots and screaming. Upon entering the residence, officers discovered an adult male and two young male children suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. A second adult female was found inside the home physically uninjured but visibly traumatized and in a state of shock.

The adult male and one child were pronounced dead at the scene. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures on the second child. Both the child and the surviving adult female were transported by the Tiffin Fire & Rescue Division to Mercy Hospital. Despite urgent medical intervention, the child later died from his injuries.

Outside the home, officers located another adult male deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Based on evidence collected so far, investigators believe this man shot the victims inside the residence before taking his own life.

The scene was secured by Tiffin Police, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was called in to assist with processing the residence. Detectives from the Tiffin Police Department and BCI crime scene agents worked through the night gathering evidence and conducting interviews. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Chief Pauly emphasized that out of respect for the affected families, the names of the victims will not be released until proper notifications have been completed.

“As a community, we are not accustomed to events of this horrific and heartbreaking nature in Tiffin,” Pauly said in the release. “I ask that all residents keep the victims’ families in their thoughts as they face unimaginable loss. I also ask that our community keep the responding officers, firefighters, dispatchers, emergency medical personnel, and all others involved in their thoughts as they continue to process the emotional toll of this tragedy.”

Authorities say additional updates will be shared as the investigation allows.
